CRUNCHY, FLUFFY…AND HEALTHY FRENCH FRIES?!

French fries are a staple in our house. Whatever the meal, we want fries on the side! Although we do believe in the lifestyle choice of YOLO, doing that everyday is probably not the best idea. In response to this… problem… we give you the air fryer!

INGREDIENTS:

RUSSET POTATO

RUSSET POTATO

2 Medium russet or yukon gold potatoes

1 tbsp. olive oil

*Seasoning blend (see below)

INSTRUCTIONS:

 1. Scrub potatoes

 2. Cut potatoes into fries, no more than 2/3-inch thickness. Try to make the fries uniform in size and shape

3. Mix salt and ice water in a bowl, and place fries into the bowl to soak for appx. 30 minutes

4. Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees F

5. Take fries out of ice bath and dry with dishtowel

6. In a bowl, place fries and toss in enough spice blend to evenly coat the fries

 7. Place fries in air fryer basket

8. Evenly spread olive oil in air fryer

9. Cook for 30-40 minutes, until your desired crispness is reached.

10. Enjoy!

*Seasoning blend- you can use whatever you want to season your fries. We use a mixture of chipotle powder, kosher salt, truffle salt and pepper.
